Moved to Sheffield!

I’ve recently made the almost inevitable climbers move, and am now living in Sheffield! I moved here a couple of weeks ago, and am having an amazing time. No more 90 minute drives to the peaks only to find it raining…, now it’s 9 minutes to Burbage. Bliss!

It’s allowing me loads of time to climb, I’ve been working lots of projects and just having a great time, repeating classic lines, and just generally climbing…..lots!!!

And I’ve also changed my job, I’m now working at the Climbing Works in Sheffield, which is also great, it means I get to work and climb with loads of amazing and really psyched climbers, helping me to hopefully push it to the next level.

So things are going really well, I’ve been working really hard on one of my projects in the peak, yesterday I managed to get to the last hold 3 times and fell off matching it… remind anyone of my performance in the BBC’s this year? – See my previous blogs to see what I mean – But with good conditions and a bit of rest, I’ll hopefully have it done, and let you know all about it.

I’m also off for an extended trip to France this October, I’m competing in an International Bouldering Competition in Paris on the 15th/16th Oct, and then I’ll be climbing in Fontainebleau for about 3 weeks after that. I can’t wait; I’ve climbed in Font many times before, but never had the chance to spend this kind of length of time, so I’m really hoping to climb some classic boulder problems.

So thats all for now, but the future’s looking great, hope your climbing is also going well, Leah
