Apologies for not writing to let you know what I’ve been up to over the last couple of months. I’m now settled into my new job finally, so I am getting back into the swing of things with my climbing. I’ve been visiting various bouldering competitions around the country, including Birmingham, Leeds, and Sheffield; so far I have been placed 1st three times and one 2nd place.

Now, Christmas has kicked in, so most comps have stopped until after the New Year.  Not too long until the first big comp in March, this is at the Outdoor Show at the NEC, so I’m currently in training mode.

I have also recently discovered that I’m not a skier!! I went to Austria two weeks ago for a week to try and get to grips with the sport but I didn’t succeed so I think I’ll just stick to snowboarding for now!!

And the good old English weather is up to its usual tricks, as unpredictable as ever, so my project hasn’t seen much action lately, although my other mini projects have both been completed:

  • The Knock, E4 6a
  • Nosfaratu, E5/6 6b

I’m pretty psyched to get my ice axes back out and into some ice so I will hopefully will be heading off to the French alps in 2008. I will post some pictures shortly. I’m also doing some coaching workshops for Birmingham Bouldering wall early next year, along with a workshop and slideshow in the south west.  I will keep you updated with the dates for those!  Have fun!  Leah x
